With eight times the whiskey of leading Irish cream brands, Two Stacks’ new Dram in a Can arrives just in time for holiday gifting, entertaining, and seasonal cocktails.
Two Stacks is bringing its Double Irish Cream Liqueur to the U.S. in a new 100ml can, giving whiskey drinkers a convenient way to try the Irish brand’s decidedly whiskey-forward take on a familiar holiday favorite.
Following the U.S. rollout of its 700ml bottle last holiday season, Two Stacks Double Irish Cream Liqueur Dram in a Can is now launching nationwide through Foley Family Wines & Spirits. The 17.5% ABV, 100ml cans contain two servings and carry a suggested retail price of $6.99.
The timing is intentional. According to Circana data cited by the company, the 100ml spirits segment generated more than $217 million in U.S. sales over the past year and grew 7% compared with the previous year; four percentage points faster than total spirits.

More Whiskey in the Irish Cream
Two Stacks is positioning its Double Irish Cream around one particularly notable difference: the amount of whiskey in the recipe.
The company says the liqueur contains eight times more whiskey than leading Irish cream brands. Rather than treating the whiskey as a background note beneath the cream, Two Stacks built the expression around its own The First Cut Signature Blend Irish Whiskey.
The whiskey is more than four years old and comes from Great Northern Distillery. The blend consists of 40% grain whiskey matured in bourbon casks, 40% grain whiskey in American oak, 8% pot still whiskey, 10% double malt, and 2% peated malt.
That small portion of peated malt is particularly unusual for an Irish cream, adding a subtle wisp of smoke to the otherwise rich combination of cream, chocolate, caramel, and vanilla.
Two Stacks founders Shane McCarthy and Liam Brogan worked with Robert A. Merry & Co. in Clonmel, County Tipperary, and Master Blender Don Crowley to develop the recipe using cream from Tipperary, one of Ireland’s best-known dairying regions.
“We’ve always approached Irish Whiskey differently,” McCarthy said of the launch. “Double Irish Cream is another category where we feel the whiskey has been pushed into the background.”
The resulting expression is designed to work both as a standalone pour and as a cocktail ingredient.

Built for the Holiday Season
The new 100ml format is perhaps the most immediately interesting part of the launch for consumers.
Each can contains two servings and can be enjoyed chilled over ice or used in drinks such as Irish Coffee. Its small size also puts it squarely into the holiday gifting and entertaining conversation, whether as a stocking stuffer, a small host gift, or a way to introduce someone to the brand without committing to a full bottle.
For Two Stacks, the format is also familiar territory. The company previously gained attention with its Whiskey in a Can, using a small-format package to make its whiskey more approachable and portable.
Two Stacks Double Irish Cream Dram in a Can is available for a suggested retail price of $6.99.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich dairy cream, milk chocolate, vanilla, and a hint of whiskey warmth.
Palate: Smooth and rich, with cocoa, caramel, toffee, and subtle spice.
Finish: Creamy and lingering, with sweetness balanced by a touch of Irish whiskey character.
At 17.5% ABV, the liqueur is intended to be approachable on its own while retaining enough whiskey character to work in cocktails.

“Two Stacks is currently growing 75% year over year in the U.S. and ranks among the top 15 revenue-growth brands in Irish spirits.”
Two Stacks Continues Its U.S. Growth
The new format also arrives as Two Stacks continues to build momentum in the American market.
According to company-provided Circana data, Two Stacks is currently growing 75% year over year in the U.S. and ranks among the top 15 revenue-growth brands in Irish spirits. Its 700ml Double Irish Cream is reportedly growing 180% and ranks among the top 10 revenue-growth items in the $17-plus Irish cream category.
The company was founded in 2020 by Shane McCarthy, Liam Brogan, and Donal McLynn and operates as an independent Irish whiskey bonder and blender. Two Stacks works with distilleries throughout Ireland to source whiskey for its blended and single malt expressions, while also pursuing less traditional formats and approaches to the category.
That makes the Double Irish Cream launch an interesting extension of what Two Stacks has already been doing with its whiskey: finding ways to put the whiskey itself closer to the center of the conversation.

Why This Matters
Irish cream is one of those categories that can become almost synonymous with a single style: sweet, creamy, and familiar. Two Stacks is taking a different approach by making the whiskey a more prominent part of the experience—and then putting that expression into a format designed for sampling and casual occasions.
The 100ml can is particularly relevant heading into the holiday season. At $6.99, it lowers the commitment for consumers who want to try something new, while the two-serving format makes it an easy addition to a holiday gathering, cocktail, or gift.
It also fits into a larger trend toward smaller-format spirits. Consumers don’t always need another full bottle taking up space on the shelf, particularly when they’re shopping for gifts or looking for something to bring to a gathering.
For Two Stacks, the format offers another way to introduce people to the brand while reinforcing the company’s broader philosophy of doing Irish whiskey a little differently.
Bourbon Bishop Bottom Line:
Two Stacks has never seemed particularly interested in making Irish whiskey the way everyone else does, and that makes this a release worth watching.
The Double Irish Cream Dram in a Can is a smart holiday-season format, but the more interesting piece is what is actually inside it. Putting significantly more whiskey into an Irish cream and including a touch of peated malt in the blend gives Two Stacks a legitimate point of difference beyond simply putting cream liqueur in a can.
And at $6.99 for two servings, this feels like the kind of release that could be an easy entry point for someone who wouldn’t otherwise pick up a bottle of Irish cream.
Two Stacks has already sent samples our way, so I’ll be putting the Double Irish Cream through its paces this fall. Look for a full Bourbon Bishop tasting and review as we head into OND.
About Two Stacks
Founded in 2020 by Shane McCarthy, Liam Brogan, and Donal McLynn, Two Stacks Irish Whiskey was built around a tradition that once played a central role in Ireland’s whiskey industry: independent bonding. Rather than operating as a traditional distillery, Two Stacks sources whiskey from distilleries across Ireland and uses its own bonding and blending operation to create flavor-forward expressions. The company opened its independent bonding and blending facility in 2022, bringing a nearly forgotten part of Irish whiskey’s history into a modern setting.
Two Stacks has built its identity around transparency, creativity, and innovation, with expressions that deliberately explore parts of Irish whiskey that have historically received less attention, including peated malt and single grain whiskey. The brand is also known for its Dram in a Can format, which puts full-strength whiskey into a portable 100ml package. Its newest Double Irish Cream Liqueur continues that approach, combining the company’s whiskey-forward philosophy with a category traditionally dominated by cream and sweetness.
