I’m an author and independent whiskey reviewer, focused on thoughtful tasting notes, distillery visits, and the stories behind the craft.

My background is in long-form storytelling — I began publishing speculative fiction in 2018 after discovering that writing wasn’t just something I enjoyed, but something I couldn’t stop doing. That same instinct now shapes how I approach whiskey: with patience, curiosity, and respect for process.

Outside of writing and whiskey, I work as a board-certified hospice music therapist. Spending my professional life around questions of time, legacy, and meaning has deeply influenced how I think — and how I write. It’s why I value balance over hype, and substance over noise.

I live in northern Virginia with my wife, our two daughters, son, and two very opinionated dogs.

I’m also the author of published short fiction and am currently working on longer speculative projects.
